July 18, 2011 Cheese, Glorious Cheese $35
 
Greg Huerkamp, Executive Chef at Park Heights, will be teaching you all about cheese, glorious cheese. He will be showing different ways to prepare cheeses as appetizers, a main course or even dessert!

July 26, 2011 Mexican Fiesta  $35
 
Learn to create fantastic recipes from south of the border fused with a little Mississippi for good measure. Bring a friend for some good food and a fun little Mexican Fiesta!

Menu: Salsa‐Baked Goat Cheese, Romaine with Roasted Garlic Jalapeno Dressing, Chili‐Cumin Rubbed Catfish with Charred Corn Relish, Okra & Fried Onions, Roasted Pears with Almonds, Cranberries and White Chocolate Drizzle.

You don’t have to be a sports fan to enjoy this class! We’ll help you take your party outside……to your backyard, the park or your favorite Fall Football site. We’ll give you a handy checklist for tailgating and food safety tips.

August 22, 2011  Canning Your Fruits and Veggies $35
 
Learn how easy it is to make jams and preserves from market‐fresh produce (or from your backyard) without spending a lot on equipment (actually all you will need are jars and a large pot). We'll go over the basics of canning and how to safely seal your jars and then get on with the fruits and vegetables of the season.

September 22, 2011  Gluten Free Cooking, Part I  $35
 
Gluten Free has really become a buzzword in the culinary world. What is gluten? Why should I cook gluten free? Can I make a delicious meal gluten free? I have been cooking and eating gluten free for about two years. It has mainly been for my own health. However, my son has a wheat allergy and it has become a way of life for our whole family. In this first class, we will focus on cooking gluten free.
